Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

At Taciturn, we believe your privacy should be respected. Whether you're playing on your device or visiting our website, we aim to keep things simple and collect as little information as possible.

This policy explains how Taciturn handles information, what may be processed by the services we rely on, and how you can contact us with questions.

Playing Taciturn on iOS

Taciturn does not independently collect personal information about you or track how you play.

Your game settings and locally saved information remain on your device. We don't receive this information on our own servers. Device backups may retain copies depending on your settings.

Playing Taciturn on the Web

The browser version of Taciturn runs directly in your web browser without requiring an account. It uses local browser storage for features such as remembering preferences, game statistics, and saved progress.

Locally stored gameplay information is kept in your browser, not in an online player database operated by us. We don't use it to identify you or track activity across websites.

You can remove this information through your browser's website-data settings. Doing so may reset preferences, statistics, and saved games.

In-App Purchases

Taciturn offers optional, one-time purchases through Apple's App Store. There are no recurring subscriptions.

Apple handles billing, payment processing, and purchase records. We don't receive your payment card details. Taciturn uses purchase and entitlement information provided by Apple to unlock purchased features and restore eligible purchases.

For more information, see Apple's App Store privacy information.

Visiting Our Website

Our website, taciturn.ca, is hosted by CrocWeb Inc. The hosting infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP addresses, request times, pages visited, browser details, server errors, and security events.

Some of this information may be recorded in server logs and retained according to the provider's operational and security practices. We don't use it to build advertising profiles or monitor individual gameplay.

For details about its own services, see CrocWeb's Privacy Policy.

Cookies and Browser Storage

We don't use behavioural advertising or third-party advertising trackers. Taciturn Web uses local browser storage to remember game information.

Essential cookies or similar technologies may also be used by hosting or security infrastructure where needed to operate the website. If we introduce optional analytics or other non-essential tracking, we'll update this policy and obtain consent where required.

Contacting Support

If you email support@taciturn.ca, we receive your email address and whatever details you choose to send. We use these details to respond, investigate problems, and provide assistance, not for targeted advertising.

Emails may be handled by our email-service providers. We keep support correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to help you or meet applicable legal obligations. Please don't send passwords or payment card details.

Keeping, Accessing, and Deleting Information

We don't operate personal player accounts or independently keep gameplay histories on our servers. You can delete locally stored game information using your device or browser settings, although backups may retain copies.

Deleting Taciturn does not delete purchase information held by Apple. Our website host may retain technical logs for legitimate operational and security purposes.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information in our possession—such as support correspondence—email support@taciturn.ca. Some records may need to be retained where the law permits or requires it.

Children's Privacy

Taciturn does not independently collect personal information through gameplay, including from children. Apple's purchase features may be subject to parental controls and account restrictions. If a child contacts support, we'll handle that information according to this policy and applicable privacy law.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information under our control. Our website and email systems rely on service providers with their own security practices, and no internet service can guarantee complete security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Taciturn develops or our practices change. We'll publish revisions here and update the date at the top. Where required by law, we'll provide additional notice or seek consent.
